Jay leads the Commercial Transactions practice for North America, focused on the delivery of transactional support from both a legal and obligations management perspective. Jay’s expertise in technology enabled tools and processes along with his pragmatic and results-oriented approach drives optimization of the end-to-end commercial contract lifecycle. Jay leverages his extensive domestic and international experience to bring about scalable legal digital transformation for Marshall Denning’s clients.

Prior to joining Marshall Denning, Jay was the Director of Commercial Contracts and Deal Governance at Sutherland Global Services, Inc. where he was responsible for client engagement, deal management, deal governance, and negotiation of complex high value global process transformation and digital service agreements. Jay was also responsible for the legal oversight and automation efforts related to the deal governance activities of a global team of lawyers and contract management professionals. In addition, Jay spent time as the Controller, Incentive Compensation for the Business Development group.

Jay began his career in litigation representing institutional clients in commercial disputes, antitrust matters, and general corporate issues. Jay focused on complex data management and e-discovery protocols, and in addition to traditional litigation practice duties, maintained oversight of large-scale document review projects. Jay was also responsible for designing and implementing firm best practices of processing data for review and production.

Licensed to practice law in New York, Jay has a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Bonaventure University and received his law degree from New York Law School.
